Scottish Berries with Meringues and Cream

A group of Scottish market gardeners in Angus set up a co-operative to grow raspberries in the early 20th century. Their strawberries were already popular, but they judged that rasps would also ripen well in the gentle heat and long hours of Scottish daylight. Scottish raspberries soon became the dominant British supply.
