Haggis and Chutney Burger

A recipe – Hagws of a schepe – in the English Harleian manuscript of 1430, establishes its early English credentials. But in the mid 1700s Good Scots Haggies appear in English and Scottish cookery books. Its place in Scotland’s culinary heritage, however, is due to Robert Burns’ Address to a Haggis (1786).
