At Breer Pie Co. we create indulgent gourmet pies.  Our range of handmade pies are created in small batches, filled with hand trimmed and slow cooked cuts of locally sourced meat, locally grown vegetables where possible and wrapped in our signature wheatberry crust pastry.

We source our ingredients from local farms because of their story, their provenance and their Scottish-ness.  Our aim is to showcase these ingredients, the farmers story, the heart of the pie.  Our signature wheatberry crust pastry is made mixing a blend of white and freshly ground wheatberries, using our own table top flour mill at Breer HQ in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire.

We are a small family business, brother-sister partnership.  Our launch weekend of Breer Pie Co. was just over 1 week ago.  We are currently collaborating with Aberdeenshire Highland Beef where we are currently offering a pre-order service for collection at their weekly pop-up butchery.

We are currently working with a number of local premium producers including Aberdeenshire Highland Beef, Louise’s Farm Kitchen, Cambus O’May Cheese, Ingrams and Meet the Meat Butchers to create our ‘Original 5’ Pie Menu.  The ‘Original 5′ Pie Menu is classics, pies that we knew people would be familiar with with – done properly.  Our pies are packed with flavour, quality local ingredients and filled to the brim.   We are currently working on new recipes to include mutton, venison and goat, as well as some cold pies to complement our classic pork pie that will work perfectly alongside a local cheese board for Christmas.

We are also currently developing a sweet range of pies to accompany our savoury pie range – think Bakewell Tart, Lattice-Topped Treacle Tart, Peanut Butter Banoffee and Apple, Pear and Hazelnut Pies!

Our first event is planned to be the Chapelton Farmers’ Market on Sunday 20th September where we will be offering pre-orders for collection on the day.
